MINIMUM DE BLA-BLA, MAXIMUM DE MUSIQUE!

M O N D A Y,  1  M A Y

Queerest weather today – the sun went in and out, once it snowed, and twice it began to rain!

Wore bunches to school as hair looked anaemic.

In Prayers, during the hymn, I suddenly felt terribly happy, because I've met Dutronc, and I think about him all the time. But then I felt like crying, because I may never see him again.

Got 80A home because 406 late again, and walked round to the tennis court with Ma – they’ve pulled up half the surface and the wire netting is down. Ma, Pa and Chump have done an awful lot in the new garden. I’m the only one who hasn’t helped at all!

Tried on my summer school dresses...

... and my shift is 1"-2" too long and my dress is unwearable except with a cardy.

Listened a lot to French radio. On S.L.C. they had an interview with Jacques Dutronc, but it stopped at 8 which was petty anaemic. Then I put on 'Minimax' – Minimum de Bla-Bla, Maximum de Musique! Really Président Rosko is fab. He speaks perfect English, in fact, it’s so perfect he must have lived in America. He keeps on saying “vraiment le plus beau: le Président Rosko – C'EST MOI!”

Got all my economic problems sorted out for Australia - all from The Times supplement. What I'd do without it I don't know, it's the only thing that has problems in it. All the leaflets from Australia House state the Facts - and don't mention a single Problem.

Bed at 10.30.
