"An article about the Monkees in the Radio Times says Peter Tork likes girls called Beatrice and INGRID!"

Felt ill all day, the more I thought about it the worse I felt. First had a tummy ache then got the shivers.

It was Jean Robert’s birthday today, and she didn’t get one present. Her brothers and sisters are ill, and her mother couldn’t go out and get her anything. Why couldn’t her beastly father, for goodness sake? It made me miserable for the rest of the day. It's also Janet Still's birthday. I suppose it's not her fault she's so ghastly (to us, anyway) because her father's dead and her mother's been ill for a long time so she has to look after the whole household.

In History what should we do but Queen Joanna! I never did understand where she fitted in. She was Queen of Castile, married Philip of the Hapsburgs - who was very handsome - and she went mad after her second son.

Wrote Diary in sitting-room with Ma and Pa because I was depressed upstairs by myself, and listened to the record of Juliette Greco. She sings marvellously - just as good as Marlene Dietrich.
