Had a tape in French about this gruesome girl who went on a train to the French Alps for a skiing holiday. The stupid thing hadn't booked up anywhere to stay, and she kept shrieking "il neige" with such vigour you'd think she'd never seen snow before.

Did the seasons in Geog. Saw a ghastly film on Latitude and Longitude.

Rhys, Sozzy and Jane have come to stay - super to see them again! Compared to Mummy, Soz is terribly old-fashioned. She’s never heard of the Monkees! Her skirts come 2” below her knees and she has seamed stockings.

They all went out for the evening so we had Welsh rarebit and treacle tart for supper. Chump and me watched The Newcomers (I love Judy Geeson) and a programme about the Hollywood invasion of Castle Combe for the filming of Dr Doolittle. Then we larked around with Jane on her bed till quarter to 11! Did puzzles, read her comics, and  'Ant and Bee'. She is terribly sweet.

Got a bit of a cough in the evening.
